Which site will have highest hits in 2011? Facebook or Google

Google was founded in 1997 and is one of the biggest search engine giant. Google had highest hits till 2009. Facebook defeated Google in 2010 and became the first social networking site to compete Google in terms of hits. Facebook was founded in 2004 and became the first popular social networking site in a short period of time. No one ever thought that one day it will compete Google in terms of hits. But still Google is smarter than Facebook as they have introduced their social networking site called Google plus or Google +. They have used subdomain of google.com i.e. plus.google.com. They could have used other domain like googleplus.com. But that domain couldn’t have passed traffic directly to Google.com. They have already got more than 25 millions user in Aug, 2011. I think , they will get around 100 millions user at the end of 2011. In this way, Google is definitely going to compete Faceboook in terms of hits at the end of 2011.

Existence of Social Networking Sites

We have different social networking options like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Orkut, Friendster, Bebo etc. But no one ever attached to just one social networking site. Everyone always searched for other social networking option. First Livejournal.com was famous blogging site in the market even Mark Zuckerberg used to post his blogs on livejournal. After Livejournal, Friendster came to the market and then Myspace, Orkut, Facebook and Twitter. This is called a social networking cycle i.e. Livejournal-Friendster-Myspace-Orkut-Facebook-Twitter-Google Plus. But Facebook is the only site who has ever existed after another social networking site is launched. Google plus has already got 25 million user on 5^th August. Now, we have to wait and watch which social networking site is going to be number in 2011. But I think Google plus has to wait for some months or years to compete Facebook.
